1/2 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup caramel ice cream topping
2 tablespoons 2% milk
1 cup toffee bits
BROWNIE LAYER:
1 cup butter, cubed
4 ounces unsweetened chocolate
4 large eggs, lightly beaten
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy; beat in egg and vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mix well. In a small bowl, combine caramel topping and milk; add to batter and mix well. Fold in toffee bits; set aside., In a microwave, melt butter and chocolate.
