CHOCOLATE CARAMEL RASPBERRY FONDUE (FOR MINI CROCK POT)
I first tasted this fondue at a friend's Christmas party about 8-9 years ago. I think just about everyone left that party with a copy of the recipe! I have served this at my own parties many times with great success. I enjoy serving this with strawberries, fresh pineapple chunks, cantaloupe, bananas, and sponge cake as the dippers. This makes enough fondue to partly fill a medium-sized crockpot.

CARAMEL FONDUE
Steps:
- 1. Melt caramels in double boiler - stir frequently.
- 2. Add dash of salt - pour into fondue pot.
- 3. Serve apple chunks, marshmallows, or other fruits as dippers.
- 4. Roll in chopped nuts after dipping - if desired.
Tips:
- Use high-quality chocolate: The type of chocolate you use will have a big impact on the flavor of your fondue. Look for a chocolate with a high cocoa content (at least 60%) and a smooth, creamy texture.
- Use heavy cream: Heavy cream will help to make your fondue rich and creamy. If you don't have heavy cream, you can use milk, but your fondue will be thinner.
- Don't overheat the chocolate: Overheating the chocolate can cause it to seize up and become grainy. Heat the chocolate slowly and gently, stirring constantly.
- Serve the fondue with a variety of dippers: Some popular dippers for caramel fondue include fruit, marshmallows, pretzels, and cookies. You can also get creative and try different dippers, such as bacon, popcorn, or even fried chicken.
- Keep the fondue warm: Caramel fondue is best served warm. If you're using a fondue pot, you can keep the fondue warm by setting it on the lowest heat setting. If you're not using a fondue pot, you can keep the fondue warm by placing it in a slow cooker on the lowest heat setting.
Conclusion:
Caramel fondue is a delicious and versatile dessert that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It's perfect for parties, special occasions, or even just a cozy night in. With its rich, creamy texture and sweet, buttery flavor, caramel fondue is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
