Tips:
- Use fresh oats for a chewier texture. If you only have rolled oats on hand, you can pulse them in a food processor until they are the desired consistency.
- Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing will result in tough cookies. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
- Chill the dough before baking. This will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
- Bake the cookies at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes. The cookies are done when they are golden brown around the edges and the centers are set.
- Let the cookies cool completely before enjoying. This will allow the flavors to meld and the cookies to firm up.
Conclusion:
These caramel chewy oatmeal cookies are the perfect treat for any occasion. They are soft, chewy, and packed with flavor. With a few simple tips, you can make these cookies at home in no time. So what are you waiting for? Preheat your oven and get started!
