Yield 8-12 people

Number Of Ingredients 7

12 oz Colored Spiral Pasta
4 oz Elbow Macaroni Pasta
1/4 lb Fresh White Mushrooms
1/2 lb Vidalia Onion
1 lb Bacon
8 tbs Mayonnaise
Parmesan Cheese (to taste)

Steps:

  • 1. Cook, drain and rinse Pasta; let cool 2. Cook Bacon and drain; then chop in small pieces 3. Chop Mushrooms and Onions 4. Mix together Pasta, Bacon, Mushrooms, Onions and Mayonnaise 5. Let mixture cool and sprinkle Parmesan Cheese to taste

Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients whenever possible. Fresh vegetables and herbs will give your pasta salad the best flavor.
  • Cook the pasta al dente. This means that it should be cooked until it is tender but still has a little bit of a bite to it.
  • Don't overdress the pasta salad. A little bit of dressing goes a long way. If you add too much, the pasta salad will be soggy and bland.
  • Let the pasta salad chill for at least 30 minutes before serving. This will allow the flavors to meld and the pasta to absorb the dressing.
  • Serve the pasta salad with a variety of toppings. Some popular toppings include grilled chicken, shrimp, bacon, hard-boiled eggs, and cheese.

Conclusion:

Pasta salad is a versatile dish that can be enjoyed for lunch, dinner, or a potluck. It is a great way to use up leftover pasta and vegetables. With so many different variations, there is sure to be a pasta salad recipe that everyone will enjoy.
