Tips:

  • To achieve the perfect crinkle effect, ensure your dough is well chilled before baking. This will help the cracks form and create the signature crinkled appearance.
  • Don't overmix the dough, as this can result in tough cookies. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • For a more intense cappuccino flavor, use a dark roast coffee. You can also add a teaspoon of instant coffee powder to the dough for an extra boost.
  • If you don't have buttermilk, you can make your own by adding 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar to 1 cup of milk. Let it sit for 5 minutes before using.
  • To prevent the cookies from sticking to the baking sheet, line it with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • Bake the cookies until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set. Overbaking will result in dry, crumbly cookies.
  • Let the cookies cool completely on a wire rack before enjoying them. This will help them to firm up and develop their full flavor.

Conclusion:

Cappuccino crinkles are a delicious and indulgent treat that are perfect for any occasion. With their rich coffee flavor, crispy exteriors, and soft, chewy interiors, these cookies are sure to be a hit.
