Tips:
- Use a variety of fruits: This will give your cobbler a more complex flavor and texture. Some good options include peaches, pears, berries, and cherries.
- Don't overcook the fruit: You want the fruit to be soft, but not mushy. Cook it just until it is heated through.
- Use a thickener: This will help to thicken the juices from the fruit and create a more cohesive cobbler. You can use cornstarch, flour, or tapioca.
- Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing will make the batter tough. Just mix it until the ingredients are combined.
- Bake the cobbler until the crust is golden brown: This will take about 30-35 minutes. Serve the cobbler warm with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream.
Conclusion:
Canned fruit cobbler is a delicious and easy dessert that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. It is a great way to use up leftover fruit, and it is also a perfect dish to serve at potlucks and picnics. With a few simple tips, you can make a canned fruit cobbler that is sure to impress your friends and family.
