CAMPBELL'S BEEFY PASTA SKILLET

I got this off the Campbell's site after searching ages for it. My friend makes this all the time and serves it with salad and it's a tasty, easy, and quick meal. It's also a decent hot pot luck dish. My friend also puts cheese on the top and bakes it to brown the cheese. I'm posting it so I don't loose it, lol.

1 soup can water
1/2 (16 oz.) pkg uncooked corkscrew-shaped pasta (rotini)
1 container (15 oz.) ricotta cheese
1 c shredded mozzarella cheese

Steps:

  • 1. Cook the beef and oregano in a 12 inch skillet over med-high heat until the beef is well browned, stirring frequently to break up meat. Pour off any fat.
  • 2. Stir the soup, water and pasta in a 13x9x2 inch (3 qrt) shallow baking dish. Add the beef mixture and ricotta cheese and stir to coat. cover.
  • 3. Bake at 375 degree F for 30 mins or until hot and bubbly. Sprinkle with the mozzarella cheese. Let stand for 5 mins or until the cheese melts. Serve.

Tips:

  • Choose the right pasta: Short, sturdy pastas like penne or rotini are ideal for this dish, as they can hold the sauce well. Avoid long, thin pastas like spaghetti or angel hair, as they can become too saucy and difficult to eat.
  • Brown the beef well: Browning the beef adds flavor and depth to the dish. Be sure to cook the beef until it is browned on all sides before adding the other ingredients.
  • Use a flavorful sauce: The sauce is key to this dish, so be sure to use a sauce that you enjoy. You can use a store-bought sauce or make your own.
  • Add vegetables: Vegetables add color, flavor, and nutrients to the dish. Feel free to add your favorite vegetables, such as bell peppers, onions, or mushrooms.
  • Serve with a side dish: This dish is hearty and filling, but it can be served with a side dish, such as a salad or bread, to make it a complete meal.
