Tips:

  • Use quality ingredients. Fresh, flavorful ingredients will make a big difference in the taste of your casserole. Choose crisp green beans, sharp cheddar cheese, and thick-cut bacon.
  • Don't overcook the green beans. Blanch them for just a few minutes, until they are bright green and tender-crisp. Overcooked green beans will be mushy and bland.
  • Use a creamy soup base. Campbell's Cream of Celery Soup is a classic choice, but you can also use Cream of Mushroom or Cream of Chicken Soup. The creamy soup will help to thicken the casserole and make it extra rich and flavorful.
  • Add plenty of cheese. Cheddar cheese is a must-have in this casserole, but you can also add other types of cheese, such as Parmesan, Gruyère, or Monterey Jack. The more cheese, the better!
  • Top with crispy bacon. Bacon adds a delicious smoky flavor to this casserole. Be sure to cook the bacon until it is crispy, but not burnt.
  • Bake until bubbly and golden brown. The casserole is ready when it is bubbly around the edges and the top is golden brown. This usually takes about 30 minutes.

Conclusion:

Campbell's Bacon Cheddar Green Bean Casserole is a classic holiday side dish that is always a hit. It is easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. Whether you like your casserole cheesy, bacon-y, or both, this recipe has you covered. So next time you are looking for a delicious and easy side dish, give this recipe a try.
