½ teaspoon garlic powder
1 ¼ cups chicken bone broth
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup chopped roasted red peppers
⅓ cup grated Parmesan cheese
6 leaves fresh basil, or to taste

Tips:

  • Use a cast iron skillet or Dutch oven. This will help to evenly brown the chicken thighs and create a flavorful crust.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan. If you have too much chicken in the pan, it will not brown properly and will instead steam.
  • Season the chicken thighs generously. This will help to add flavor and depth to the dish.
  • Cook the chicken thighs over medium heat. This will help to prevent them from burning.
  • Baste the chicken thighs regularly with the cooking juices. This will help to keep them moist and flavorful.
  • Serve the chicken thighs with your favorite sides. Some popular options include mashed potatoes, rice, or green beans.

Conclusion:

This recipe is a great way to make delicious and flavorful Cajun chicken thighs. The chicken thighs are browned in a flavorful sauce and then simmered until they are tender and juicy. The dish is easy to make and can be served with a variety of sides. Whether you are looking for a quick and easy weeknight meal or a special dish to serve at a party, this recipe is sure to please everyone.
