Tips:
- To make sure your chicken strips are evenly coated in the Cajun seasoning, place them in a large bowl and toss them until they are completely covered.
- If you don't have any buttermilk, you can make your own by adding 1 tablespoon of lemon juice or vinegar to 1 cup of milk and letting it sit for 5 minutes.
- Be sure to let the chicken strips marinate in the buttermilk for at least 30 minutes, but no longer than 24 hours.
- When frying the chicken strips, use a deep fryer or a large saucepan filled with oil. The oil should be at least 2 inches deep.
- Fry the chicken strips in batches so that they don't overcrowd the pan and cook evenly.
- Cook the chicken strips until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Serve the chicken strips immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
