Tips:

  • Use fresh cherries: Fresh cherries provide the best flavor and texture for these scones. If you can't find fresh cherries, you can use frozen cherries that have been thawed and drained.
  • Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing the dough will make the scones tough. Mix the dough just until it comes together.
  • Chill the dough before baking: Chilling the dough before baking helps to create a flaky texture. If you don't have time to chill the dough, you can bake it immediately, but the scones may not be as flaky.
  • Bake the scones until they are golden brown: The scones are done baking when they are golden brown on top and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Conclusion:

These buttery cherry chip scones are a delicious and easy-to-make breakfast or snack. They are perfect for any occasion, from a casual brunch to a special holiday gathering. With their flaky texture, sweet cherry filling, and white chocolate chips, these scones are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them.
