It is as good as I remember and best of all, it still gets rave reviews!

Tips:

  • Select the right carrots and Brussels sprouts: Choose carrots that are firm and brightly colored, and Brussels sprouts that are compact and free of blemishes.
  • Trim and prepare the vegetables: Peel and cut the carrots into 1-inch pieces, and trim the Brussels sprouts, removing any tough outer leaves.
  • Use a large skillet or sauté pan: This will help to ensure that the vegetables cook evenly and don't crowd each other.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: If you're cooking a large batch of vegetables, cook them in batches so that they have enough room to brown.
  • Season the vegetables generously: Salt, pepper, and garlic powder are all good choices. You can also add other herbs and spices to taste.
  • Cook the vegetables over medium heat: This will help to prevent them from burning or sticking to the pan.
  • Stir the vegetables frequently: This will help to ensure that they cook evenly and don't burn.
  • Add a little bit of liquid: This will help to prevent the vegetables from drying out. You can use water, broth, or even white wine.
  • Cook the vegetables until they are tender: The carrots should be tender but still have a little bit of bite, and the Brussels sprouts should be tender and slightly browned.
