Tips:

  • Use good quality bread. This will make a big difference in the final product. Look for a bread that is slightly stale, as this will help it to absorb the custard more easily.
  • Don't over-soak the bread. You want the bread to be moist, but not soggy. If you over-soak the bread, it will become mushy and the bread pudding will be too dense.
  • Use a variety of raisins. This will add flavor and texture to the bread pudding. You can use golden raisins, dark raisins, or a combination of both.
  • Don't overcook the bread pudding. The bread pudding is done when it is set in the center. If you overcook it, it will become dry and crumbly.
  • Serve the bread pudding warm with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream.

Conclusion:

Butterscotch raisin bread pudding is a classic dessert that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. This recipe is simple to follow and can be tailored to your own taste. Whether you like your bread pudding sweet or savory, with raisins or nuts, this recipe is sure to satisfy. So next time you have some leftover bread, don't throw it away!
