Tips:

  • Mise en Place: Before you start baking, make sure you have all your ingredients and equipment ready. This will help you stay organized and avoid scrambling.
  • Use Room Temperature Ingredients: When a recipe calls for room temperature ingredients, it's important to follow that instruction. This will help the ingredients blend together more easily and create a smoother batter.
  • Don't Overmix the Batter: Overmixing the batter can make the cookies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the Dough: Chilling the dough before baking helps the cookies hold their shape and prevents them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the Cookies at the Right Temperature: The oven temperature is critical for achieving the perfect cookie. Make sure your oven is preheated to the correct temperature before baking.
  • Don't Overbake the Cookies: Overbaking the cookies will make them dry and crumbly. Bake the cookies just until they are set around the edges but still soft in the center.
