Tips:
- Use fresh ingredients, especially the butter and cornflakes. Stale ingredients will result in a less flavorful and less crispy bar.
- Don't overcook the butter and sugar mixture. It should be cooked until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is a light golden brown color. Overcooking will result in a burnt taste.
- Be careful not to burn the marshmallows. They should be melted and gooey, but not browned.
- Press the mixture firmly into the pan. This will help to keep the bars together.
- Let the bars cool completely before cutting them. This will help to prevent them from crumbling.

Butterscotch cornflake bars are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. They are a great way to use up leftover cornflakes and marshmallows, and they are sure to be a hit with kids and adults alike.
