These have become a staple in our family around Christmas time. This recipe will make 2 9x9 pans. Every year I make these at Christmas I end up making 2 pans, one for my family and one pan for my cousin Stephanie who is a confetti square addict! These are so easy and so delicious.

Tips:
- Mise en Place: Before you start baking, make sure you have all your ingredients and tools ready. This will help you stay organized and avoid any mishaps.
- Creaming Butter and Sugar: When creaming butter and sugar together, make sure you do it until the mixture is light and fluffy. This will help to incorporate air into the batter, resulting in a lighter and more tender cake.
- Measuring Flour: To ensure you're using the correct amount of flour, spoon it into your measuring cup and level it off with a knife. Scooping flour directly from the bag can result in too much flour being used, which can make your cake dry and dense.
- Mixing the Batter: When mixing the batter, be careful not to overmix it. Overmixing can develop the gluten in the flour, resulting in a tough and chewy cake. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
- Baking the Cake: Bake the cake in a preheated oven. This will help to ensure that the cake rises evenly and doesn't sink in the middle.
- Cooling the Cake: Once the cake is done baking, let it cool completely before frosting it. This will help to prevent the frosting from melting and running off the cake.
Conclusion:
With its rich butterscotch flavor, festive confetti sprinkles, and moist, tender crumb, this Butterscotch Confetti Cake is sure to be a hit at your next celebration. Follow these tips and you'll be able to create a delicious and beautiful cake that everyone will love.
