BUTTERMILK CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

Buttermilk Chocolate Chip Cookies image

A little different twist on the old chocolate chip cookie. Is a more cake-like cookie. Do not use semi-sweet chips, you just don't get the same cookie. I like to "underbake" mine just a bit, makes them gooey. (my girls preference) Prep time is approximate.

Tips:

  • Use high-quality buttermilk. Fresh, full-fat buttermilk will give your cookies the best flavor and texture.
  • Don't overmix the dough. Overmixing will make the cookies tough. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
  • Chill the dough before baking. Chilling the dough will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much.
  • Bake the cookies at the right temperature. The ideal temperature for baking buttermilk chocolate chip cookies is 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius). Using high oven temperature will result in cookies that are crispy on the outside and gooey inside.
  • Don't overbake the cookies. Overbaking will make the cookies dry and crumbly. Bake just until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set.

Conclusion:

Buttermilk chocolate chip cookies are a classic American treat that are loved by people of all ages. They're easy to make and can be customized to your liking. With a few simple tips, you can make buttermilk chocolate chip cookies that are perfectly chewy, gooey, and delicious. So next time you're in the mood for a sweet treat, give this recipe a try!
