2 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
1 (3 pound) pork tenderloin
¼ cup balsamic vinegar
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

Steps:

  • Mix garlic, onion, and chili powders with paprika and salt. Rub mixture all over pork tenderloin.

HONEY-GRILLED PORK LOIN

Honey-Grilled Pork Loin image

I wanted something different for a cookout. This is so good, if you're having company, you'd better fix two. It's butterflied, so it increases marinated flavor and shortens grilling time. Everyone I fixed this for has asked for the recipe. I marinate in the morning to have ready for dinner.

Tips:

  • Choose a thick pork loin: A thicker loin will hold up better on the grill and will be less likely to dry out.
  • Butterfly the pork loin: This will help the loin cook more evenly and will allow you to stuff it with your favorite fillings.
  • Marinade the pork loin: Marinating the loin will help to tenderize it and add flavor. You can use a variety of marinades, such as a simple olive oil and garlic marinade or a more complex marinade with herbs and spices.
  • Cook the pork loin over indirect heat: This will help to prevent the loin from drying out. You can cook the loin on a grill, in a smoker, or in an oven.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the pork loin: The loin is done cooking when it reaches an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Let the pork loin rest before slicing: This will help the juices to redistribute throughout the loin, making it more tender and flavorful.

Conclusion:

Butterflied pork loin is a delicious and versatile dish that can be cooked in a variety of ways. Whether you choose to grill it, smoke it, or bake it, you're sure to enjoy this flavorful and juicy cut of meat. So next time you're looking for a special meal to serve your family and friends, be sure to give butterflied pork loin a try.
