Tips:

  • Use a variety of meats. Ground beef is the most common meat used in meatloaf, but you can also use ground pork, lamb, veal, or turkey. Mixing different meats together can create a more flavorful and moist meatloaf.
  • Add some vegetables. Vegetables like onions, celery, carrots, and zucchini can add flavor, moisture, and texture to your meatloaf. They also help to bind the meat together.
  • Use flavorful seasonings. Garlic, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper are all classic meatloaf seasonings. You can also add other herbs and spices that you like, such as thyme, rosemary, or sage.
  • Don't overmix the meatloaf. Overmixing can make the meatloaf tough. Just mix the ingredients until they are combined.
  • Bake the meatloaf at a moderate temperature. A temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit is ideal for baking meatloaf. This will help to prevent the meatloaf from drying out.
  • Let the meatloaf rest before slicing. Let the meatloaf rest for about 10 minutes before slicing. This will help to keep the juices in the meatloaf.
