Tips:

  • Use fresh ingredients: The fresher the ingredients, the better your Buckeye Chex Mix will taste. Use real butter, pure vanilla extract, and high-quality chocolate chips.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When baking the Chex Mix, make sure to spread it out in a single layer on the baking sheet. This will help it cook evenly and prevent it from becoming too soggy.
  • Be careful not to overcook the Chex Mix: The Chex Mix is done baking when it is golden brown and crispy. Overcooking it will make it hard and dry.
  • Let the Chex Mix cool completely before adding the chocolate and peanut butter mixture: This will help the chocolate and peanut butter to set properly and prevent it from becoming too runny.
  • Store the Buckeye Chex Mix in an airtight container at room temperature: It will stay fresh for up to 2 weeks.

Buckeye Chex Mix is a delicious and easy-to-make snack mix that is perfect for parties, potlucks, and road trips. It is also a great way to use up leftover Chex cereal. With its sweet and salty flavor, Buckeye Chex Mix is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
