1 pound plus 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
6 ounces unsweetened chocolate
6 extra-large eggs
3 tablespoons instant coffee granules
2 tablespoons pure vanilla extract
2 1/4 cups sugar
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups chopped walnuts

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Butter and flour a 12 x 18 x 1-inch baking sheet.
  • Melt together the butter, 1 pound of chocolate chips, and the unsweetened chocolate in a medium bowl over simmering water. Allow to cool slightly. In a large bowl, stir (do not beat) together the eggs, coffee granules, vanilla, and sugar. Stir the warm chocolate mixture into the egg mixture and allow to cool to room temperature.

1 box brownie mix (21-23 oz.)
1 cup (6 oz.) semisweet chocolate chips
6 tablespoons butter or margarine (3/4 stick)
candy sprinkles

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat the oven to 350. Place the cones in muffin tins or on a baking sheet. Prepare the brownie mix according to the package directions. Spoon the batter into cones, filling 3/4 full. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the tops are cracked and have risen above the rim of the cones. A cake tester inserted in the center will not test clean. Remove the cones from the oven and cool to room temperature. Melt the chocolate chips and butter or margarine in a double boiler over hot water, stirring until smooth.
