Time 45m

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 stick butter
2 c sheila g's brownie brittle crumbs
2 pkg cream cheese (8 oz.)
1/2 c sugar
1 Tbsp flour
1/2 c eggnog
2 eggs
1/2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
nutmeg to sprinkle on top

Steps:

  • 1. Crust: Mix 1 stick of melted butter with 2 Cups of Brownie Brittle crumbs. Press into a greased 9 x 13 pan and Bake for 8 min at 350°
  • 2. Mix cream cheese, sugar, flour, eggnog, and eggs together. Add chocolate chips. Pour over crust.
  • 3. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.
  • 4. Cool - then sprinkle nutmeg on top.

Tips:

  • Choose the right chocolate. Use a good-quality semisweet or bittersweet chocolate for the best flavor. Avoid using chocolate chips, as they contain stabilizers that can prevent the brittle from setting properly.
  • Use unsalted butter. This will help to control the amount of salt in the brittle.
  • Don't overcook the sugar mixture. If the sugar mixture is overcooked, it will become too dark and bitter.
  • Spread the brittle out evenly on the baking sheet. This will help it to cook evenly.
  • Don't overbake the brittle. If the brittle is overbaked, it will become hard and brittle.
  • Let the brittle cool completely before breaking it into pieces. This will help to prevent it from crumbling.

Conclusion:

Brownie brittle is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. With its rich chocolate flavor and crispy texture, it is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you are looking for a sweet treat, give brownie brittle a try. You won't be disappointed!
