I made some last night and thought I would share with you my own recipe :) Most date square recipes out there suggest to put sugar in with the dates, but I skip this step since dates are sweet enough!! These were also a big hit when I had my catering service and was Piccolo Grande's best seller :)

Tips:
- Use light or dark brown sugar: Both types of brown sugar will work in this recipe, but light brown sugar will give the squares a slightly lighter color and flavor, while dark brown sugar will give them a more intense flavor and color.
- Don't overcook the squares: The squares are done baking when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If you overcook them, they will be dry and crumbly.
- Let the squares cool completely before cutting them: This will help them to hold their shape and prevent them from falling apart.
- Store the squares in an airtight container at room temperature: They will keep for up to 3 days.
Conclusion:
These brown sugar date squares are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that are perfect for any occasion. They are chewy, gooey, and full of flavor.
