Tips:

  • Choose fresh, ripe tomatoes: Look for tomatoes that are deeply colored and free of blemishes.
  • Use a variety of herbs: The combination of basil, thyme, and oregano in this recipe is a classic, but you can use any herbs that you like. Some other good options include rosemary, marjoram, and tarragon.
  • Don't overcrowd the tomatoes: Place the tomatoes in a single layer on the baking sheet so that they have room to cook evenly.
  • Broil the tomatoes until they are slightly charred: This will give them a smoky flavor and caramelize the sugars.
  • Serve immediately: Broiled tomatoes are best served hot out of the oven.

Conclusion:

Broiled tomatoes are a simple but delicious side dish that can be enjoyed with a variety of meals. They are also a great way to use up leftover tomatoes. With just a few ingredients and a few minutes of preparation, you can have a tasty and healthy dish that the whole family will enjoy.
