Nutrition Facts :

Tips:

  • For the perfect hard-boiled egg, place the eggs in a single layer in a saucepan and cover them with cold water. Bring the water to a boil over high heat, then cover the pan and remove it from the heat. Let the eggs stand in the hot water for 10-12 minutes, depending on how hard you want them to be. Immediately transfer the eggs to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process.
  • To make peeling the eggs easier, add a teaspoon of baking soda to the boiling water. The baking soda will help to loosen the shells.
  • If you don't have mayonnaise, you can make your own by whisking together 1 egg yolk, 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper. Slowly whisk in 1 cup of olive oil until the mixture is thick and creamy.
  • To make the egg salad sandwiches ahead of time, simply prepare the egg salad and spread it on the bread. Wrap the sandwiches in plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 2 days.
  • For a healthier version of the egg salad sandwich, use whole-wheat bread and low-fat mayonnaise. You can also add some chopped vegetables, such as celery, onion, or cucumber, to the egg salad.

Broiled egg salad sandwiches are a classic lunch or dinner option that are easy to make and delicious. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can create a satisfying and nutritious meal that the whole family will enjoy.
