2 (3 ounce) packages beef-flavor ramen noodles
2 (8 1/2 ounce) packages broccoli coleslaw mix
1 cup toasted slivered almonds
1 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 bunch green onion, chopped
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup oil
1/3 cup white vinegar

Steps:

  • Before opening noodles, crush into 1 inch pieces. Open packages and set aside flavor packets.
  • Place noodles in bottom of large serving bowl. Top noodles with broccoli slaw, then sprinkle with almonds and sunflower kernels, and green onions.
  • In a separate bowl combine sugar, oil, vinegar, and flavor packets from noodles. Pour over slaw, cover and chill up to 24 hours.
  • Toss before serving.

2 (3 ounce) bags oriental-flavor instant ramen noodles, reserve seasoning packet for dressing (other flavors will work, too)
3/8 cup butter
1/4 cup slivered almonds
2 (12 ounce) bags bags broccoli coleslaw mix (in the bagged salad section of the grocery store)
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
chopped green onion, for garnish
3/4 cup canola oil
1/4 cup brown sugar or 1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

Steps:

  • Put the ramen noodles in a bag and crush them with a rolling pin while melting butter in a large skillet over low/medium heat.
  • Add the crushed noodles and slivered almonds to the skillet and sauté, stirring occasionally (keep temperature at low/medium heat).
