CHEDDAR BROCCOLI CHICKEN SUPREME

Categories     Chicken

Time 15m

Number Of Ingredients 6

6 chicken breasts, halved, boneless and skinless
vegetable oil
10 oz cream of broccoli soup
1/2 c milk
1 c cheddar cheese, shredded
cheddar cheese, additional to taste

Steps:

  • 1. Brown chicken breasts on both sides in a small amount of oil; drain off excess oil.
  • 2. Combine soup and milk; pour over chicken. Bring to a boil; cover and cook over low heat 5 to 10 minutes or until chicken is cooked.
  • 3. Remove chicken from pan; keep warm.
  • 4. Add 1 cup of cheddar cheese to sauce; stir until melted. Pour sauce over chicken.
  • 5. Sprinkle additional cheese over all. Serve with hot cooked pasta or rice.

Tips:

  • Choose the right chicken breasts. Boneless, skinless chicken breasts are the best choice for this recipe. They cook quickly and evenly, and they're easy to slice into thin strips.
  • Tenderize the chicken. To make the chicken extra tender, you can pound it thin with a meat mallet or rolling pin. This will help the chicken cook more evenly and prevent it from becoming dry.
  • Use fresh broccoli. Fresh broccoli has a better flavor and texture than frozen broccoli. If you're using frozen broccoli, be sure to thaw it completely before cooking.
  • Don't overcook the chicken or broccoli. Chicken and broccoli are both delicate vegetables, so it's important not to overcook them. Overcooked chicken will be dry and tough, and overcooked broccoli will be mushy.
  • Use a good quality cheese. The cheese you use in this recipe will make a big difference in the flavor of the dish. Use a cheese that melts well and has a sharp flavor, such as cheddar, Parmesan, or Gruyère.

Conclusion:

Broccoli Chicken Supreme is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that's perfect for a busy weeknight dinner. The chicken is tender and juicy, the broccoli is crisp and tender, and the cheese sauce is creamy and flavorful. This dish is sure to please everyone at the table.
