Tips:

  • Choose the right broccoli: Look for broccoli with tightly closed florets and a deep green color. Avoid broccoli with yellowing or wilted florets.
  • Cut the broccoli into small florets: This will help them cook evenly.
  • Blanch the broccoli: This will help to preserve its color and nutrients.
  • Use a good quality cheese: This will make a big difference in the flavor of the custard.
  • Grate the cheese finely: This will help it to melt evenly.
  • Whisk the eggs and milk together thoroughly: This will help to prevent the custard from curdling.
  • Season the custard to taste: Add salt, pepper, and other spices to your liking.
  • Bake the custard in a water bath: This will help to prevent it from curdling and will also help it to cook evenly.
  • Let the custard cool slightly before serving: This will help it to set and will also make it easier to cut.

Conclusion:

Broccoli cheese custard is a delicious and versatile dish that can be served as a main course or a side dish. It is a good source of protein, calcium, and vitamins A and C. It is also relatively easy to make and can be prepared in advance. So next time you are looking for a quick and easy meal, give broccoli cheese custard a try!
