  • Cook 1 pound broccoli florets and 1 sliced red bell pepper in salted boiling water until just tender, about 3 minutes; drain and transfer to a bowl of ice water to cool, then drain again. 2 lb fresh broccoli floweretts
2 jar(s) roasted sweet red peppers (16 ounces)
2 large sweet onions, sliced & seperated
1 tsp steak seasoning
1 1/2 Tbsp coconut or olive oil

Steps:

  • 1. Wash broccoli in a colander & cut larger pieces into smaller pieces, rinse under cold running water.
  • 2. Cut the onions in half and then slice into medium slices, and separate into rings, then add to broccoli.
  • 3. Drain the roasted red peppers, then using a cutting board cut into medium size strips.
  • 4. In a large skillet, Heat the oil over medium high heat, & then add in the broccoli and onion mixture, sauté about 4-5 minutes.
  • 5. Add the roasted sweet pepper strip, and steak seasoning, then stir till mixed together and heated through, until veggies are al dente, or as desired, an additional 4-5 minutes or so, or as desired.
  • 6. Serve while still hot, can add shaved Parmesan Cheese over the top while veggies are still hot, if desired or serve as is. Excellent side dish.

1 lb broccoli
1 sweet red pepper
1 yellow sweet pepper
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 onion, chopped
1 teaspoon grated fresh gingerroot
1/4 cup chicken stock
2 teaspoons soy sauce

Steps:

  • Peel tough broccoli stems.
  • Cut stem and florets into bite size pieces.
  • Blanch in large pot of boiling water for 2 to 3 minutes or until bright green and tender crisp, drain, cool under cold running water and dry on paper towels.

3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 tablespoon butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 pinch garlic salt
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
  • Steam broccoli with 2 tablespoons water in microwave for 6-7 minutes.
  • In 10-inch skillet, heat olive oil and butter over low heat. Stir in garlic (more or less to suit your tastes) and red pepper slices; saute gently.

1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
8 cups broccoli florets
2 medium red sweet peppers or 2 medium yellow sweet peppers, cut into strips

Steps:

  • For sauce, in a small bowl stir together soy sauce, lemon juice and sesame oil.
  • Set aside.
  • Place a steamer basket in a 12 inch skillet.
  • Add enough water to come just below bottom of basket and bring to a boil.
  • Place broccoli in steamer basket and reduce heat to medium low.
  • Cover and steam for 4 minutes.
