Number Of Ingredients 5

4 oz squares semi-sweet chocolate (each square 1 oz)
2 Tbsp butter
1 can(s) sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
1 tsp vanilla
1-2 dash(es) salt

Steps:

  • 1. In a medium pan over low heat, melt and warm together chocolate, butter and sweetened condensed milk; do not boil.
  • 2. Stir until ingredients are melted and combined.
  • 3. When melted, hot and combined, remove from heat and stir in remaining ingredients.
  • 4. Pour hot fudge into a jar or container.
  • 5. Store in the fridge. When ready to use, reheat in the microwave at 15-second intervals until warm enough to drizzle.
  • 6. Pour over cake, ice cream or whatever your heart desires!!! I drizzle this over my chocolate fudgy cupcake that I recently posted and of course ice cream!!!

Tips:

  • Use a heavy-bottomed saucepan: This will help to distribute the heat evenly and prevent the sauce from scorching.
  • Stir the sauce constantly: This will help to prevent the sugar from crystallizing and the sauce from becoming grainy.
  • Do not overcook the sauce: The sauce is done when it has reached a temperature of 235 degrees Fahrenheit (113 degrees Celsius) or when a small amount of the sauce dropped into a glass of cold water forms a soft ball.
  • Add the butter and vanilla extract off the heat: This will help to prevent the butter from curdling and the vanilla extract from evaporating.
  • Let the sauce cool slightly before serving: This will help to prevent the sauce from being too hot and will also allow the flavors to develop.

Conclusion:

Brigham's Fudge Sauce is a delicious and versatile sauce that can be used to top ice cream, cakes, pies, and other desserts. It is also a great addition to coffee or hot chocolate. With its rich chocolate flavor and smooth texture, Brigham's Fudge Sauce is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it.
