1 c extra virgin olive oil
1/2 c balsamic vinegar
1/2 c parmesan cheese, grated
1 1/2 Tbsp dried basil ( i used italian seasoning)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
4-5 clove garlic, minced (i used 1 tbs minced garlic)
crusty french bread

Steps:

  • 1. In a 2 cup, glass measuring cup, combine oil, vinegar, cheese, seasoning and garlic. Stir. Pour into a container with a lid. Shake to blend ingredients.
  • 2. Pour mixture into small, shallow bowls or rimmed plates. Slice bread and dip into oil to eat. "This is a versatile recipe, adjust the herbs and spices to your taste. This can be kept in the refrigerator for about a month. Bring to room temperature and stir before serving."

parmigiano, cheese-to taste-grated
1/4 cup grated asiago cheese
1 loaf Italian bread
