Steps:
- In a large saucepan, boil 4 cups water. Add sugar; stir to dissolve. Remove from heat; add teabags. Steep 10 minutes; discard teabags. Add 4 cups cold water; transfer to a pitcher, and chill. Add mint leaves. Using a wooden spoon, crush mint until fragrant; stir in bourbon. Serve over ice.
Tips:
- Choose high-quality ingredients. Fresh mint leaves, good quality bourbon, and loose-leaf black tea will make a big difference in the flavor of your tea.
- Use fresh mint leaves. Dried mint leaves will not provide the same flavor as fresh leaves.
- Steep the tea for the proper amount of time. Over-steeping the tea will make it bitter.
- Sweeten the tea to your taste. Honey, sugar, or maple syrup are all good options.
- Garnish the tea with a mint sprig. This will add a festive touch and help to release the mint flavor.
Conclusion:
Bourbon mint tea is a refreshing and flavorful drink that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be enjoyed hot or cold. Whether you are looking for a relaxing drink to enjoy after dinner or a refreshing beverage to sip on a hot day, bourbon mint tea is a great choice.
