1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup canola oil

1 cup brown sugar
1 large egg
2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Tips:

  • Choose a flavorful cereal: The type of cereal you use will greatly impact the flavor of your cookies, so choose one that you enjoy eating on its own. Some good options include Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cocoa Puffs, and Fruity Pebbles.
  • Don't overmix the dough: Overmixing the dough will make the cookies tough, so be careful not to overdo it. Mix the ingredients until they are just combined, then stop.
  • Chill the dough before baking: Chilling the dough before baking will help the cookies hold their shape and prevent them from spreading too much. You can chill the dough for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight.
  • Bake the cookies at a high temperature: Baking the cookies at a high temperature will help them get crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Bake the cookies at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes, or until they are golden brown.

Bottom of the cereal box cookies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that are perfect for any occasion.
