Time 15m

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 fresh avocados
1 lime wedge
1/2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp tomato, diced
1 1/2 Tbsp fresh jalapeno pepper, diced
1 Tbsp red onion, diced fine
1 tsp cilantro, chopped

Steps:

  • 1. Mix all ingredients together and stir well. Chill. Makes 8 servings.

Tips:

  • Use ripe avocados: Choose avocados that are ripe but not mushy. Ripe avocados will have a deep green or almost black skin and will yield to gentle pressure.
  • Properly mash the avocados: For a creamy guacamole, mash the avocados until they are smooth and lump-free. You can use a fork, a potato masher, or a food processor to mash the avocados.
  • Add your favorite ingredients: Feel free to add your favorite ingredients to the guacamole to customize it to your taste. Some popular additions include onions, tomatoes, cilantro, jalapeños, and lime juice.
  • Serve immediately: Guacamole is best served immediately after it is made. However, if you need to store it, cover it tightly and refrigerate it for up to 2 days.

Conclusion:

Border guacamole is a delicious and versatile dish that can be enjoyed as a dip, a spread, or a topping. It is a great way to use up ripe avocados and is perfect for parties and gatherings.
