Time 18m

Yield 2 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup vidalia onion (sliced or diced)
1 zucchini (medium sized)
3 tablespoons dill weed (freeze dried or fresh)
1 dash salt (to taste)
1 dash black pepper (to taste)

Steps:

  • Slice up zucchini cross wise in thin slices about 1/8" thick.(Does not have to be precise). Set aside.
  • In skillet on medium low heat, add 1 tablespoon butter and saute onion, stirring frequently until tender about 3-5 minutes.
  • Add zucchini stirring frequently to lightly saute for 2 minutes.
  • Add 1 tablespoon butter and then sprinkle dill weed. Stir the dill evenly throughout.
  • Remove from heat and serve. Enjoy!

Tips:

  • Choose the right zucchini. Look for zucchini that are firm and have a deep green color. Avoid zucchini that are bruised or have blemishes.
  • Wash the zucchini thoroughly. Before cooking, wash the zucchini under cold water to remove any dirt or debris.
  • Cook the zucchini until it is tender-crisp. Zucchini should be cooked until it is tender but still has a slight crunch. Overcooking will make the zucchini mushy.
  • Season the zucchini to taste. Zucchini can be seasoned with a variety of herbs and spices. Some popular options include garlic, salt, pepper, basil, and oregano.
  • Serve the zucchini immediately. Zucchini is best served immediately after it is cooked. This will prevent it from becoming soggy.

Zucchini is a versatile vegetable that can be used in a variety of dishes. It is a good source of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. The recipes in this article are a great way to enjoy zucchini and all that it has to offer. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a delicious and healthy side dish that the whole family will enjoy.
