MOCK BOJANGLES BISCUITS
These are so good. I can't remember where the recipe came from but I think they are easy and tasty. I have really had some funny experiences trying to make biscuits in my lifetime. I have found that I prefer to roll them out rather than cutting them out. You can do either with this recipe.

Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 450. Blend all dry ingredients together then form a hole in center. Cut in the crisco then stir in the buttermilk and knead a few times.
- 2. I pinch off dough and roll in my palms then shape. I then flatten them a bit using my knuckles then pat a little water on top to dampen the flour. You can roll out onto a floured surface and cut out rounds of dough if you want.
- 3. Place into your greased pan and bake at 450 for approximately 15 minutes or until golden brown.
- 4. SELF-RISING FLOUR SUBSTITUTES: 3 cups all-purpose flour 2 TBSP baking powder 3/4 tsp salt 3/4 tsp baking soda or cream of tartar ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ BUTTERMILK SUBSTITUTE: 1 1/4 TBSP lemon juice or white vinegar plus enough milk to equal 1 1/2 cups. Stir vigorously then let stand for 5 minutes.
Tips:
- For the best results, use buttermilk instead of regular milk. Buttermilk will give your biscuits a tangy flavor and a light, fluffy texture.
- Don't overwork the dough. Overworking the dough will make your biscuits tough.
- Make sure to chill the dough before rolling it out. Chilling the dough will help it rise evenly in the oven.
- Use a biscuit cutter that is at least 2 inches in diameter. Smaller biscuit cutters will make your biscuits too dense.
- Bake the biscuits in a preheated oven. A preheated oven will help the biscuits rise quickly and evenly.
- Don't overcrowd the baking sheet. Make sure there is at least 2 inches of space between each biscuit.
- Bake the biscuits until they are golden brown. The biscuits should be cooked through, but not overcooked.
- Serve the biscuits warm with your favorite toppings. Some popular toppings for biscuits include butter, honey, jelly, and sausage gravy.
Conclusion:
Bojangles' biscuits are a delicious and versatile side dish that can be enjoyed with a variety of meals. They are easy to make and can be tailored to your own taste preferences. Whether you like your biscuits plain or topped with your favorite ingredients, you are sure to enjoy this classic Southern recipe.
