SPINACH CON QUESO

Spinach Con Queso image

Styled after a similar appetizer at The Blue Moose in East Grand Forks, Minnesota, this is a very addicting creamy appetizer that goes well with tortilla chips. It has a little kick, but not enough to make your eyes water. Of course, for the heat lovers, you can kick it up a notch if desired. This has become an instant family-favorite and one of my most requested appetizers.

This is a decadent appetizer to serve any time, but it is particularly good for holiday parties. Serve with hamdmade style potato chips or lavish flaxseed crackers that are sturdy enough to scoop up the mixture without crumbling.

Tips:

  • Choose fresh ingredients: The quality of your dip will depend on the quality of your ingredients. Use fresh spinach, artichoke hearts, and cream cheese for the best results.
  • Don't overcook the spinach: Spinach cooks quickly, so be careful not to overcook it. Overcooked spinach will become mushy and lose its flavor.
  • Use a good quality blue cheese: The blue cheese is one of the key ingredients in this dip, so be sure to use a good quality cheese. A sharp blue cheese will give the dip a more robust flavor.
  • Chill the dip before serving: Chilling the dip before serving will help it to set and make it easier to scoop.
  • Serve with your favorite dippers: This dip can be served with a variety of dippers, such as tortilla chips, crackers, or bread.

Conclusion:

This Blue Moose Spinach Dip is a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. It is sure to be a hit with your guests!
