Time 15m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

4 lime slices
3 tablespoons coarse sugar
1/2 cup carbonated lemon-lime beverage, chilled
1/2 cup tequila
1/3 cup frozen limeade concentrate, partially thawed
1/2 cup blue curacao
2 cups ice cubes

Steps:

  • Using lime slices, moisten the rims of four margarita or cocktail glasses. SEt aside lime slices for garnish. Sprinkle coarse sugar on a plate; hold each glass upside down and dip rim into sugar. Set aside. Discard remaining sugar on plate.
  • In a blender, combine the remaining ingredients; cover and process until blended. Pour into prepared glasses. Garnish with reservedlime slices. Serve immediately.

Tips:

  • Use fresh limes for the best flavor. If you don't have fresh limes, you can use bottled lime juice, but be sure to use 100% lime juice and not a lime-flavored drink.
  • If you don't have blue curaçao, you can use another blue liqueur, such as Midori or Hpnotiq.
  • Be careful not to over-shake the margaritas, as this can make them watery.
  • Serve the margaritas immediately, while they are still cold and slushy.
  • Garnish the margaritas with a lime wedge and a cherry.
