BLUE CHEESE AND WALNUT CRACKERS
Steps:
- In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, cream the butter and Stilton together for 1 minute, or until smooth. With the mixer on low speed, add the flour, salt and pepper and mix until it's in large crumbles, about 1 minute. Add 1 tablespoon of water and mix until combined.
- Dump the dough onto a floured board, press it into a ball, and roll into a 12-inch long log. Brush the log completely with the egg wash. Spread the walnuts in a square on a cutting board and roll the log back and forth in the walnuts, pressing lightly, and distributing them evenly on the outside of the log. Wrap in plastic and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or for up to 4 days.
- Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Cut the log 3/8ths-inch thick with a small, sharp knife and place the crackers on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Bake for 22 minutes until very lightly browned. Rotate the pan once during baking. Cool and serve at room temperature.

WALNUT AND BLUE CHEESE WEDGE
"I love serving a classic for a holiday and the varied colors and textures on here give it an American holiday feel to me.... I love the addition of the cranberries and the tangy blue cheese, but for me the star of this salad is the glazed walnuts. Best of all, make the dressing and cut the salad ahead of time. When ready to serve, just assemble and enjoy." -Alex Guarnaschelli

CREAMY BLUE CHEESE DIP WITH WALNUTS
Blue cheese can be a polarizing ingredient, but the sweetness of toasted walnuts rounds out the sharpness of the cheese in this creamy dip. If serving this dip to friends, surround it with large pieces of cabbage, sliced celery sticks and a sleeve of saltine crackers - and make extra, because it can disappear quickly. But it's built for more than entertaining guests: Slather it on a potato bun in a chicken cutlet sandwich, or use it to dress up a BLT.

Steps:
- 1. Arrange the walnut halves on a platter, flat sides up. Spread a heaping 1/2 tsp blue cheese on each walnut half. Top the cheese with a grape half.
Tips:
- For the best flavor, use high-quality blue cheese. A sharp, tangy blue cheese will give the bites a bold flavor.
- If you don't have walnuts on hand, you can substitute another type of nut, such as pecans or almonds.
- Be sure to toast the walnuts before using them. This will help to bring out their flavor and make them more crunchy.
- If you're short on time, you can skip the step of chilling the dough. However, chilling the dough will make it easier to work with and will help to prevent the bites from spreading too much in the oven.
- These bites are best served fresh out of the oven. However, they can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
Conclusion:
These blue cheese walnut bites are a delicious and easy-to-make appetizer that is perfect for any occasion. They're cheesy, tangy, and packed with flavor.
