BLENDER WHOLE WHEAT PANCAKES

This is a terrific way to use your food storage! It's easy, healthy, and delicious. It's also a good recipe to use for getting your family used to whole grains so they won't get sick if you ever have to use your food storage for a long length of time!

Provided by OB Nurse

Categories     Breakfast

Time 25m

Yield 8-10 pancakes, 4-5 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 cup milk
1 cup wheat
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons baking powder

Steps:

  • Put the 1 cup milk and 1 cup wheat kernels (yes, uncooked and unsoaked whole wheat kernels) in the blender and mix on high speed for 4 minutes.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and mix on medium speed until well incorporated.
  • Pour 1/4 cup batter onto heated griddle for each pancake, turn when bubbles cover top of pancake, cook to desired doneness.
  • Top with butter and syrup, fruit and cream, or peanut butter and jelly.
  • You may use reconstituted powdered milk and powdered egg from your food storage in place of the milk and eggs.

Tips:

  • For fluffier pancakes, let the batter rest for 5-10 minutes before cooking.
  • If the batter is too thick, add a little more milk. If it's too thin, add a little more flour.
  • Use a non-stick skillet or griddle to prevent the pancakes from sticking.
  • Cook the pancakes over medium heat. If the heat is too high, the pancakes will burn on the outside and be raw on the inside.
  • Flip the pancakes only once, when bubbles start to form around the edges.
  • Serve the pancakes immediately with your favorite toppings, such as butter, syrup, fruit, or whipped cream.

Conclusion:

These blender whole wheat pancakes are a delicious and healthy way to start your day. Made with whole wheat flour, oats, and yogurt, they're packed with fiber and protein. They're also easy to make, thanks to the blender. Simply blend all of the ingredients together and cook the pancakes in a hot skillet. In just a few minutes, you'll have a stack of fluffy, flavorful pancakes that the whole family will love. So next time you're looking for a quick and easy breakfast, give these blender whole wheat pancakes a try. You won't be disappointed!
