BLACK DIAMOND STEAK MARINADE

Black Diamond Steak Marinade image

I adapted this from another black diamond recipe that I thought was a little sweet (that one had honey in it too which i guess you could add.) This is DEFINITELY my "go to" marinade, and I've used it on chicken as well. Hubby doesn't want any other type of marinade any more...and this one is so easy and so good, neither do I! ...

Time 10m

Number Of Ingredients 5

1/2 c lite or low salt soy sauce
1/4 c honey
1 tsp chopped roasted garlic
1 tsp minced fresh ginger
1/2 tsp monteral spicy steak seasoning or 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes

Steps:

  • 1. You can use any steak you want. What you see in the picture is a flank steak.
  • 2. Put all the ingredients in a bowl then place your steak in the bowl. I use a needler to both tenderize the steak and to infuse the marinade in to the meat.
  • 3. Place steak into a zip top bag along with marinade and place in refrigerator. Refrigerate at least 2 hours or up to 2 days.
  • 4. Grill steak to your liking. Serve with baked potato.

Tips:

  • The secret to a great Black Diamond Steak Marinade is to use a combination of acidic and flavorful ingredients. The acidity helps to tenderize the steak, while the flavorful ingredients add depth and complexity to the taste.
  • When making the marinade, be sure to use fresh, high-quality ingredients. The better the ingredients, the better the marinade will be.
  • Allow the steak to marinate for at least 30 minutes, but no longer than 24 hours. Over-marinating can make the steak tough.
  • If you don't have time to marinate the steak, you can still cook it. Just be sure to cook it over low heat and for a shorter amount of time.
  • Black Diamond Steak Marinade can be used on any type of steak. However, it is especially good on flank steak, skirt steak, and hanger steak.

Conclusion:

Black Diamond Steak Marinade is a delicious and easy way to add flavor to your steak. With a combination of acidic and flavorful ingredients, this marinade will help to tenderize the steak and give it a delicious crust. Whether you are grilling, pan-frying, or roasting your steak, Black Diamond Steak Marinade is sure to make it a hit.
