BLACK DIAMOND STEAK MARINADE

Black Diamond Steak Marinade image

I adapted this from another black diamond recipe that I thought was a little sweet (that one had honey in it too which i guess you could add.) This is DEFINITELY my "go to" marinade, and I've used it on chicken as well. Hubby doesn't want any other type of marinade any more...and this one is so easy and so good, neither do I! ...

Time 10m

Number Of Ingredients 5

1/2 c lite or low salt soy sauce
1/4 c honey
1 tsp chopped roasted garlic
1 tsp minced fresh ginger
1/2 tsp monteral spicy steak seasoning or 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes

Steps:

  • 1. You can use any steak you want. What you see in the picture is a flank steak.
  • 2. Put all the ingredients in a bowl then place your steak in the bowl. I use a needler to both tenderize the steak and to infuse the marinade in to the meat.
  • 3. Place steak into a zip top bag along with marinade and place in refrigerator. Refrigerate at least 2 hours or up to 2 days.
  • 4. Grill steak to your liking. Serve with baked potato.

Tips:

  • Choose a high-quality steak for the best results. Look for steaks that are at least 1 inch thick and have good marbling.
  • Make sure to marinate the steak for at least 4 hours, but no longer than 24 hours. This will allow the flavors to penetrate the meat and tenderize it.
  • If you don't have time to marinate the steak, you can still cook it with this recipe. Just be sure to cook it for a shorter amount of time.
  • Cook the steak over high heat to get a good sear. This will help to lock in the juices and flavor.
  • Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the meat.

Conclusion:

The black diamond steak marinade is a delicious and easy way to prepare steak. It's perfect for a special occasion or a weeknight meal. The marinade is made with a variety of spices, herbs, and oils that work together to create a flavor that is both complex and delicious. The steak is then cooked over high heat to get a good sear, and then let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving. The result is a steak that is juicy, tender, and full of flavor.
