Steps:
- Score the steaks on both sides and set aside. Combine the oil, soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, vinegar, ginger, and garlic powder in a zip-top plastic bag. Mix well. Add the steaks to the marinade, seal the bag, and turn to coat them evenly in the marinade. Place in the refrigerator and let marinate for 8-10 hours. When ready to cook, preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the steaks from the marinade (discard the marinade). Place the steaks on the grill and cook over direct heat for 6-8 minutes per side or until desired doneness (actual cook time will depend on the thickness of the steaks). Remove the steaks from the grill and let sit covered lightly with foil for 5 minutes before serving.

- 3. Place steak into a zip top bag along with marinade and place in refrigerator. Refrigerate at least 2 hours or up to 2 days.
- 4. Grill steak to your liking. Serve with baked potato.
BLACK DIAMOND STEAK MARINADE
I adapted this from another black diamond recipe that I thought was a little sweet (that one had honey in it too which i guess you could add.) This is DEFINITELY my "go to" marinade, and I've used it on chicken as well. Hubby doesn't want any other type of marinade any more...and this one is so easy and so good, neither do I! ...

Tips:
- Tenderize the meat: Using a meat tenderizer or a fork, poke holes in the steaks to help the marinade penetrate deeper, resulting in more flavorful and tender steaks.
- Marinate for at least 30 minutes: Allow the steaks to marinate in the black diamond marinade for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight for maximum flavor.
- Use a hot grill or pan: Preheat your grill or pan to a high temperature before cooking the steaks. This will help sear the outside of the steaks, locking in the juices and creating a delicious crust.
- Cook to your desired doneness: Use a meat thermometer to monitor the internal temperature of the steaks while cooking. Remove them from the heat once they reach your desired doneness, whether it's rare, medium-rare, medium, or well-done.
- Let the steaks rest: After cooking, let the steaks rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving. This allows the juices to redistribute throughout the meat, resulting in more tender and flavorful steaks.
Conclusion:
The black diamond marinade is a versatile and flavorful marinade that can be used to enhance the taste of various cuts of steak. By following these tips, you can create tender, juicy, and flavorful steaks that are perfect for any occasion. Whether you're grilling, pan-frying, or broiling your steaks, the black diamond marinade will help you achieve delicious results every time. So next time you're looking for a marinade that will take your steak to the next level, give the black diamond marinade a try.
