Of all the recipes I tried for white bread, this is my favorite. And it's easy and gives a good texture not too dense, not too airy. Lately, I added sesame oil and sesame seeds with the quantities of recipe#207023 The preparation time include the time it is in the bread machine (2 hours)

1 1/2 cups water
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon sugar
3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons bread machine yeast

Steps:

  • In the bowl of your bread machine, put all ingredients according to the manufacturer. Then, put bowl in bread machine.
  • Select Dough. When it's ready, take out of the bowl and let stand for 15 minutes under a bowl.
  • Then give his shape and let rise in the oven for 45 minutes.
  • And then bake at 425 F for 20 minutes. Cool on a rack.

1 1/8 cups warm water
1/3 cup molasses
1 1/2 tablespoons canola oil
1 1/2 cups bread flour
1 cup rye flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
3 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 1/2 tablespoons caraway seeds
2 teaspoons active dry yeast

Steps:

  • Place all ingredients into your bread maker according to manufacture.
  • Select type to a light crust.
  • Press start.
  • Remembering to check while starting to knead.
  • If mixture is too dry add a tablespoon warm water at a time.
  • If mixture is too wet add flour again a little at a time.
  • Mixture should go into a ball form, and just soft and slightly sticky to the finger touch.
  • This goes for all types of breads when kneading.
  • This recipe makes a one and half pound loaf size.

2 tablespoons white distilled vinegar
4 tablespoons unsulphured molasses

1 1/2 teaspoons fennel seeds, slightly crushed
1 teaspoon caraway seed, slightly crushed
2 teaspoons dried onion flakes
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup unbleached white flour
1 1/4 cups rye flour
3/4 cup bran cereal flakes (I use All-Bran by Kellogg's) or 3/4 cup bran buds (I use All-Bran by Kellogg's)
1 tablespoon cocoa powder (if using sweetened cocoa powder, omit sugar)
1 teaspoon sugar
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
3 tablespoons sunflower seeds (optional)

Steps:

  • *Variation: Instead of 3/4 cup brewed coffee, substitute 3/4 cup warm water and add 2 teaspoons of instant coffee granules.
