SOUR CREAM BISCUITS
Steps:
- Preheat Oven to 425 degrees.
- Cut butter into 6-8 slices and place in a glass 9×13 baking dish. Melt Butter in Microwave for 30-60 seconds. Set pan aside.
- In a large mixing bowl measure out 4 cups Bisquick Mix
- Add 1 cup Sour Cream. I find it easiest to measure out the sour cream and then dollop small spoonfuls into the Bisquick. This helps with evenly distributing the sour cream.
- Add 1 cup Lemon Lime Soda. I prefer Sprite because of the flavor but choose what you wish.
- With a large spoon, sitr the mixture. Stir until all ingredients are combined. Dough will be very sticky and might seem clumpy too. It's PERFECT.
- Sprinkle about 1/4 cup flour on clean surface and place dough on top.
- Using your hands and fingers "Pat" out the dough. Some extra flour on top will help if the dough is too sticky. Pat dough to 1 inch thick
- Use a Circle Cutter and cut out biscuits. You can also use a knife and cut into squares. They all taste the same.
- Place biscuits into 9×13 pan with melted butter. I typically can get 15-18 biscuits depending on size.
- Bake at 425 for 12-15 minutes

7-UP SOUR CREAM BISCUITS
I saw this super-easy recipe floating around Facebook and had to give it a try. The biscuits are surprisingly delicious & don't taste like Bisquick! I'm only adding the recipe here so I can find it again in the future when it's time to add it to a Family Favorites cookbook. =^..^=

Steps:
- 1. Mist a 13 x 9" baking dish with cooking spray. Add the stick of butter & place in a cold oven. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
- 2. In a large bowl, add the Bisquick, sour cream, and 7-Up. Stir together until well-blended. The dough will be soft & sticky at this point.
- 3. Sprinkle a little more Bisquick on a clean counter and spoon out the dough on it. Dust a little more Bisquick over the dough, then on your hands. Knead & fold over the dough maybe 8 or 10 times, adding a little more Bisquick, if needed, until dough can be patted out.
- 4. Dip a biscuit cutter (or a glass) into some Bisquick and cut out the biscuits.
- 5. When the butter has melted, remove the pan from the oven.
- 6. Take each biscuit in turn and put it in the melted butter, then turn it over so both sides are buttered. Continue until all biscuits are in the baking dish.
- 7. Bake at 425 degrees F. for about 12-15 minutes, or until browned on top & bottom. Check early the first time you make them since all ovens are different!
- 8. Although I put butter on this biscuit for the photo, it didn't need it! The melted butter from the recipe is plenty.
- 9. I'm also thinking of cutting back the melted butter (maybe 3/4 of the stick?) and adding some sugar to the baking mix in Step #2 to make Sweet Biscuits for Strawberry Shortcakes. What do you think? =^..^=

Tips:
- Use cold ingredients: This will help create flaky biscuits.
- Don't overwork the dough: Overworking the dough will make the biscuits tough.
- Cut the biscuits with a sharp knife or biscuit cutter: This will help prevent the biscuits from becoming misshapen.
- Bake the biscuits in a hot oven: This will help the biscuits rise quickly and evenly.
- Don't overcrowd the baking sheet: Crowding the biscuits will prevent them from cooking evenly.
Conclusion:
Bisquick sour cream biscuits are a delicious and easy-to-make breakfast or snack. They are perfect for a busy morning or a lazy weekend brunch. These biscuits are also a great way to use up leftover sour cream. With just a few simple ingredients, you can have a batch of fluffy, golden brown biscuits in no time.
