BISQUICK APPLE PIE DESSERT
This dessert was originally suppose to be a French Apple Pie, but because I omitted the milk, I am just referring to it as an Apple Dessert. It is easy and quite simple. I used apples that I did not want to spoil, the Granny Smith and Pink Cripps. The addition of Toasted pecans always makes any dessert taste better. Serve it...

Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a medium size dish with cooking spray, I used a 6X12 size rectangle dish. I had to switch to the larger size 6X12 dish instead of the 9X9, because I had more filling than I originally thought.
- 2. Add peeled and sliced apples to a medium size bowl with lemon juice, then toss to coat evenly.
- 3. In a separate medium bowl, add Bisquick, with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg , butter & eggs. Beat till well blended.
- 4. Pour apples into the batter, and stir to blend till all the apples are completely coated on all sides.
- 5. Pour into prepared dish.
- 6. Now combine all of the ingredients for the crunchy topping in a medium bowl.
- 7. Crumble mixture over the top of the apple mixture.
- 8. Bake in preheated 350 degrees F. oven for 50 to 55 minutes, till apples are tender, and mixture is hot & bubbly.
- 9. Serve with whipped topping or your favorite ice cream if desired. The original version of this recipe came from a Bisquick Cookbook, before I made changes for this version.

Tips:
- Use a quality Bisquick mix. This will help ensure that your pie crust turns out flaky and delicious.
- Don't overwork the dough. If you do, the gluten will develop and the crust will be tough.
- Chill the dough before rolling it out. This will help prevent the dough from sticking to your rolling pin.
- Use a sharp knife to cut the butter into the flour. This will help create a more even distribution of fat, which will result in a more flaky crust.
- Don't overcrowd the pie pan. If you do, the apples will not cook evenly.
- Bake the pie until the crust is golden brown and the apples are tender.
Conclusion:
Bisquick apple pie is a classic dessert that is easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. With its flaky crust, sweet apples, and cinnamon-sugar filling, this pie is sure to be a hit at your next potluck or family gathering. So what are you waiting for? Give this recipe a try today!
