  • Choose the right ribs: Baby back ribs are the most popular choice for BBQ ribs, but you can also use spare ribs or St. Louis-style ribs.
  • Prep the ribs: Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and trim off any excess fat.
  • Make a flavorful rub: A good rub will help to enhance the flavor of the ribs. You can use a store-bought rub or make your own using a combination of spices and herbs.
  • Smoke the ribs: Smoking the ribs is the best way to achieve a tender and flavorful result. You can smoke the ribs on a charcoal smoker, gas smoker, or electric smoker.
  • Baste the ribs: Basting the ribs during the smoking process will help to keep them moist and flavorful. You can use a variety of liquids for basting, such as apple juice, beer, or BBQ sauce.
  • Cook the ribs until they are tender: The ribs are done cooking when they are tender and pull away from the bone easily. The internal temperature of the ribs should be at least 145 degrees Fahrenheit.
