Steps:
- Pour the yogurt into a bowl (plain Greek yogurt is recommended, but any plain yogurt will do).
- Add the cream and vanilla, and with a whisk, carefully stir until combined.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the top of the yogurt mixture. Do not stir the yogurt mixture. Cover the bowl with foil or plastic wrap and tightly seal the edges. Place in the refrigerator for at least 20-30 minutes.
- When you are ready to serve, place a small handful of berries (or other fruit) into a bowl or cup. Without stirring the yogurt mixture, spoon some of the yogurt over the berries. There will be creamy areas and brown sugar areas. Repeat the layers, ending with berries on top.
- Note: I used raspberries and blueberries in the recipe, but strawberries and even peaches would work.
- Cooking time is chilling time.

Tips:
- Use high-quality yogurt: The yogurt is the base of your parfait, so make sure to use a good one. Look for yogurt that is creamy, thick, and has a good flavor.
- Choose your granola wisely: The granola is what gives your parfait texture and crunch. Choose a granola that is flavorful and has a good mix of nuts, seeds, and oats.
- Don't skimp on the fruit: The fruit is what adds sweetness and freshness to your parfait. Use a variety of fruits, both fresh and frozen.
- Layer your parfait carefully: When assembling your parfait, start with a layer of yogurt, then add a layer of granola, then a layer of fruit. Repeat these layers until your parfait is full.
- Chill your parfait before serving: Chilling your parfait for at least 30 minutes before serving will help the flavors meld together and will make it easier to eat.
