Tips:

  • Use extra firm or firm tofu: This type of tofu holds its shape better during cooking and absorbs the flavors of the sauce more easily.
  • Press the tofu before cooking: Pressing the tofu removes excess water, which helps it to absorb more flavor and become crispier when cooked.
  • Cut the tofu into even-sized pieces: This will help them cook evenly.
  • Use a large skillet or wok: This will give the tofu plenty of room to cook without overcrowding.
  • Heat the oil over medium-high heat: This will help the tofu to brown and crisp.
  • Don't overcrowd the skillet: If you add too much tofu to the skillet, it will steam instead of fry.
  • Stir the tofu frequently: This will help it to cook evenly.
  • Add the sauce towards the end of cooking: This will help to prevent the tofu from becoming tough.
  • Serve the tofu stir-fry immediately: This is when it is at its best.

Conclusion:

Tofu stir-fry is a delicious and healthy meal that can be made in just 30 minutes. With its simple ingredients and easy-to-follow instructions, this recipe is perfect for busy weeknights. The tofu is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and the sauce is flavorful and slightly spicy. This dish is sure to please everyone at the table.
