Yield 8 servings
Number Of Ingredients 13
Steps:
- Generously rub two disposable foil pie pans with vegan butter.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the almond milk, melted butter, and sugar. The mixture should be just warm, registering between 100-110˚F (37-43˚C). If it is hotter, allow to cool slightly.
- Sprinkle the yeast evenly over the warm mixture and let set for 1 minute.
- Add 5 cups flour and 1 teaspoon of salt to the milk mixture and mix with a wooden spoon until just combined.
- Cover the bowl with a towel or plastic wrap and set in a warm place to rise for 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350˚F (180˚C).
- After 1 hour, the dough should have nearly doubled in size.
- Remove the towel and add an additional ½ cup (95g) of flour and salt. Stir well, then turn out onto a well-floured surface.
- Knead the dough lightly, adding additional flour as necessary, until the dough just loses its stickiness and does not stick to the surface.
- Roll the dough out into a large rectangle, about ½-inch (1 cm) thick. Fix corners to make sure they are sharp and even.
- Spread the softened vegan butter evenly over the dough.
- Sprinkle evenly with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Roll up the dough, forming a log, and pinch the seam closed. Place seam-side down. Trim off any unevenness on either end.
- Cut the log in half, then divide each half into 7 evenly sized pieces. About 1½ inches (8 cm) thick each.
- Place 7 cinnamon rolls in each cake pan, one in the center, six around the sides. Cover with plastic wrap and place in a warm place to rise for 30 minutes.
- To prepare the frosting. In a medium-size mixing bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, almond milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Remove plastic wrap. Bake the cinnamon rolls in a preheated oven at 350˚F (180˚C) for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
- While still warm, drizzle evenly with frosting.
- Enjoy!

MY AUNT TERRIE'S FAMOUS HOMEMADE DINNER ROLLS (BEST EVER!)
Provided by Food Network
Time 2h55m
Number Of Ingredients 9
Steps:
- In a heat-proof bowl, melt 1 stick of the butter in the microwave and allow it to cool.
- Add 1/4 cup warm (not hot) water, the yeast, and 2 tablespoons of sugar to a small bowl and stir slightly with fork. Set aside to proof.
- In a mixing bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook, put 3 cups of the flour with the salt, eggs (preferably at room temperature), 1 cup warm (not hot) water, 1 cup sugar, and the cooled melted butter. Mix well.
- Add the yeast mixture and gradually add the remaining 2 cups of flour and keep beating. Cook's Note: You may not need the whole 5 cups of flour; the stickier (not runny) the dough, the lighter the rolls.
- Transfer the dough to a large bowl and pour about 1/4 cup of oil over the dough. Cover with a plate and let rise, at least double or more its original size, about 2 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- After the dough has risen, transfer it to a floured surface and knead it a little. Roll out the dough about 1/4-inch thick (or thinner). Let the dough rest a few minutes while you melt the other stick of butter. Use a cookie cutter and cut out rolls. Dip each roll in melted butter, fold in half and put them on a sheet pan. Arrange them close together, filling up the pan.
- Bake until nice and brown. Ovens vary, so maybe about 20 minutes.
- Take the pan out of oven and immediately brush the rolls with butter. Transfer them to a serving dish and serve.

THE BEST DINNER ROLLS EVER!
These dinner rolls are rustic you don't need a fancy mixer to make them. For a yeast roll, they're pretty quick and easy to make. It takes a little arm work to knead the dough, but the outcome is so tasty. When baked, they are soft, almost biscuit-like, but with a lighter texture. For extra flavor, brush the tops with melted...

Steps:
- 1. Start by activating the yeast. Pour the yeast and water into a bowl.
- 2. Heat milk and butter in the microwave for 1 minute (do not boil).
- 3. Add to the yeast and water, egg, sugar, salt, and one cup of the flour. Stir just a little.
- 4. Add milk and butter (this cant be hot or it will kill the yeast). Stir and switch to a rubber spatula.
- 5. Add remaining flour.
- 6. Stir until you have a sticky, but knead-able, dough. The more you work the dough the less sticky it becomes.
- 7. Pour out on floured surface.
- 8. Knead for 6 - 7 minutes, only adding a little flour if it gets too sticky. If too much flour is added, an unpleasant crust forms.
- 9. Spray a bowl with butter spray. Make a nice ball and put it in the bowl. Cover.
- 10. Let it sit for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
- 11. Now after the dough has risen, remove the cover. Pour onto a floured surface and punch down the dough.
- 12. Pat with hands shaping it into a square.
- 13. Cut into 12 squares.
- 14. Place in a greased pan they can touch (for greased pan, I use non-stick butter flavor spray in a can).
- 15. After you place them in the pan simply let them rise approximately 20 minutes.
- 16. Brush the rolls with the egg wash. Then bake in a 350 degree oven for 25 minutes.

Tips:
- Use high-quality ingredients: Fresh, high-quality ingredients will result in the best rolls. Make sure to use bread flour, which has a higher protein content than all-purpose flour and will give the rolls a chewier texture.
- Activate the yeast properly: Before adding the yeast to the dough, make sure to activate it in warm water with a little sugar. This will help the yeast to grow and produce carbon dioxide, which will give the rolls their rise.
- Knead the dough properly: Kneading the dough develops the gluten in the flour, which gives the rolls their structure and elasticity. Knead the dough for at least 5-7 minutes, or until it is smooth and elastic.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place: After kneading the dough, place it in a greased bowl and cover it with plastic wrap. Let the dough rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until it has doubled in size.
- Shape the rolls: Once the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape the pieces of dough into rolls and place them in a greased baking dish.
- Let the rolls rise again: Cover the rolls with plastic wrap and let them rise in a warm place for 30-45 minutes, or until they have doubled in size.
- Bake the rolls: Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Brush the rolls with melted butter and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
Conclusion:
These best-ever rolls are soft, fluffy, and delicious. They are perfect for any occasion, from a weeknight dinner to a holiday feast. With a few simple tips, you can make these rolls at home and impress your family and friends.
